The Lantern Fest is back in Salt Lake City from May until the end of October. Haven't heard of it before? Well, now you can see what it's like in Utah and you do not want to miss out on this fun activity that is unique and will light up the whole night.

Do you know what The Lantern Fest is?

The Lantern Fest brings a community together to create an amazing light in the air. When you get there, it starts early in the day and there are live music bands, dancing, bonfire and s'mores. When the sun sets and the time is right, we all start lighting the sky with lanterns.
Lanterns were used to symbolize good fortune and celebrating the life of loved ones. Families and friends all can come and join with dances, eating yummy foods and snacks from local vendors too.

Here are some of my tips:

1. Get there early if you want to find a place to sit by the fire pits and by the bands.

2. Bring a blanket and a chair so you are very comfortable.

3. You can bring your own snacks as well, they give you boxes with graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows to make smores out of.

4. There is a lot of food trucks as well so come hungry!

5.  Carpool if you can, parking is usually $5-$10.
6. If you are going during the summer then dress for summer, but if you end up going in the fall, I would dress in layers and a big puffy coat to keep warm!

I hope you enjoyed this! We had a great time being there!

This looks so fun! It definitely would be a great evening with family or friends. Making Smores would be a hit with my girls. The sky is really pretty with all the lit lanterns.
